Another Fall at USC: Welcome Events, Football and a Whole Lot of Trojans

USC has been part of the DJ Keelez & Associates story for years. We’ve DJed events across campus, worked with different departments and student groups, and somehow every new school year still manages to give us something completely different.
This fall has been no exception. We’ve been back for several welcome events, a football tailgate and an event at Wallis Annenberg Hall. They’ve ranged from a laid-back afternoon before a football game to me looking out at approximately 6,000 students at Light Up the Night and realizing we were about to have a PARTY.
And a party it was. Light Up the Night was one of those events where the crowd gives you so much energy that you can really have fun with the set. Thousands of students were back on campus together, ready to celebrate the beginning of another year, and they absolutely showed up. Big songs, huge reactions and 6,000 people having a good time together. Those are the nights that remind me why I still love doing this after all these years.
Then came the USC football tailgate, which was a completely different vibe. This one was more about setting the soundtrack while everyone ate, hung out and got ready for the game. It also happened to fall on one of the hottest days imaginable, so I’m pretty sure all of us earned extra credit just for surviving it. Thankfully, the Trojans pulled off the win, which made sweating through the afternoon a little more worth it.
We also headed back to Wallis Annenberg Hall, but this time DJ AK was behind the decks representing DJ Keelez & Associates. She absolutely rocked it. One of the coolest parts of growing this company has been getting to watch our DJs go out under our name and create their own moments with a crowd. AK did exactly that at Annenberg, and seeing our team continue the relationship we’ve built with USC over the years means a lot to me.
That’s probably my favorite thing about working with USC: no two events are ever quite the same. We’ve been fortunate to become a USC authorized vendor and to keep coming back year after year for events of all sizes and styles.
After years of working on campus, getting invited back still doesn’t get old. Fight On!
